The mission of Artaxis is to provide a peer-reviewed source of contemporary artwork in ceramics and sculpture. Utilized as a resource by instructors, students, gallerists, curators, the general public, and contemporary artists, Artaxis.org strives to promote and enrich the field, while functioning as a direct and unobtrusive conduit between viewer and artist.
The Sonoma Community Center's Ceramics Studio was established in 1999 as an educational space dedicated to the promotion and development of the ceramic arts and the work of clay artists. The mission of the studio is to provide a unique learning environment for diverse audiences to experience the ceramic arts. They are Sonoma Valley's leading ceramic studio, supporting the arts through their all-inclusive Artist in Residency program, gallery, studio sales, classes, workshops, and Open Studio.
Carbondale Clay Center welcomes all to explore the art of ceramics, from the casually curious to the established artist. Clay is a universal language connecting us to people, cultures and world history. Knowledge of ceramic processes is shared through class and workshop offerings, residencies, lectures, gallery exhibits, and programs that reach out to schools and special groups. The Center is committed to a learning environment that is supportive and exciting.
Fleur Schell is an international renowned Ceramic Artist who resides in Perth, Western Australia. She has been a professional ceramic artist her entire adult life. Over the past two decades, through SODA International Ceramic Residency and The Clay House Centre, Fleur has nurtured the Ceramic Arts of Western Australia. Fleur and her family have been an immense influence to me as an artist and I very much recommend seeing what she is up to!
Robin DuPont is, and I don't say this lightly, one of the most fantastic potters I have ever met. Robin's pots are enticing, inviting, warm, and astounding. Check up on him often to see what kind of new work he is making!
